Chicago Gamespace is a video game museum where visitors learn about, play, and are inspired by a collection of the most important video games from history and today. It encompasses a permanent collection, special exhibitions, and a shop of video game art prints. Gamespace is an Illinois 501(c)(3) not-for-profit corporation with a mission to promote cultural appreciation and public understanding of video games as art, design, and cultural heritage
through its collection, exhibitions, and education programs. Gamespace was founded by Jonathan Kinkley in 2020.
Beginning September 13th, Gamespace is open to the general public on Sundays from 2-5pm, and for private event rentals on Sunday mornings and evenings. Information about the current exhibition is here. General admission ticket is $8 (age 13+). Kids admission is $5 (ages 5-12). Veterans, active duty military and families, and kids under 5 are free.
