SCHiM is an independent video game with an ingenious shadow-jumping core mechanic and a restrained art style, with choice arrays of color palettes. In the game, as well as this print composition, the negative space of shadows is foregrounded over positive space.

The game was created by Netherland-based artists and designers Ewoud van der Werf and Nils Slijkerman. Its graphic style emphasizes outlines and shadows and is reminiscent of the ligne claire illustration of artists such as Herge, Joost Swarte and Chris Ware.

This standalone SCHiM print that pays homage to Dutch artist M.C. Escher and was created by Janna van Abbema.
